The North-Central Discussion board of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has described the sexual harassment allegations levelled in opposition to Senate President Godswill Akpabio by Kogi Central Senator, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan as a script by opposition political events.
The APC Discussion board equally warned in opposition to what it described as a plot to trigger a breakdown of legislation and order within the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and destabilize President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
The warning adopted the ‘Akpabio Should Go’ protests on the Nationwide Meeting and elements of the FCT on Wednesday, as Natasha’s supporters referred to as on the Senate President to step down pending investigations into the allegations of sexual harassment levelled in opposition to him.
The protesters who arrived on the Nationwide Meeting gate as early as 8:00 am on Wednesday carried banners with inscriptions equivalent to ‘Akpabio Should Go’ and ‘Defend Ladies’s Rights.
They demanded accountability and urged the Senate to research Akpabio over the accusations.
Reacting to the event in a press release made out there to journalists on Wednesday, the North-Central APC Discussion board, in a press release by its Chairman, Saleh Zazzaga, a member of the APC presidential marketing campaign council within the 2023 election, stated the protesters had been mobilized to trigger unrest and anarchy within the FCT.
The APC Discussion board, nevertheless, issued a 24-hour ultimatum to the protesters to vacate the streets of the FCT.
