Unknown gunmen on Wednesday evening assassinated a famend lawyer and activist, Mike Ofikwu in Otukpo, the normal headquarters of Idomaland. The incident came about at about 8 pm on Otukpa Road in Otukpo city, when Ofikwu had simply returned from work.
Witnesses stated the deceased was shot at shut vary. “It was like a scene from a film,” a supply recounted. “He had simply arrived house and was ready for his gate to be opened when the assailants, who appeared to have been tailing him, drove up and opened hearth earlier than dashing away.”
