No fewer than two individuals have been hospitalised when the Anambra police operatives and native safety operatives engaged in a gun duel that lasted a number of minutes on Wednesday.
The spokesman for the Anambra State Police Command, SP Tochukwu Ikenga who confirmed the incident on Thursday mentioned the incident occurred on the Izuchukwu Junction, Nnobi/Nnewi Street.
He urged Nnewi residents to not panic, saying that Joint Safety Forces have been deployed to make sure Nnewi is calm all through the burial ceremonies of the late senator.
