One other gas laden tanker has gone up in flames in Jigawa State, North West Nigeria. The incident which occurred at Jigawa-Kano border, precipitated panic amongst bystanders.
Public Relations Officer of the Federal Hearth Service, Jigawa State Command, Aliyu M. A., who confirmed the incident to newsmen yesterday, stated,
“On November 12, 2024, at roughly 10:43 hours, the Federal Hearth Service obtained a misery name from Kuho Village Head, Zubairu Ahmad, relating to a tanker accident at Tsaida, Kwanar Kalle, close to Gamoji village alongside Maiduri Street.”
“The FFS responded promptly, arriving on the scene at 10:50 hours.
The hearth was contained and introduced below management,” Aliyu added, nonetheless not saying if there was casualty or not. The event comes one month after an identical incident in October, leading to over 170 deaths.
The incident occurred on October 15, 2024, when a truck carrying petrol, travelling from Kano to Nguru in Yobe State, exploded in Majia situated in Taura Native Authorities Space of the state.
